Once on the scheme, you will be assigned a personal mentor who will help you develop an individual development plan to meet your needs.

This scheme means that you will be able to access the College Monday to Friday anytime between 8.00am and 7.00pm.

What is Part P – Electrical Course?


Part P – Electrical Course was introduced in 2005. Part P was mainly introduced due to the increased number of electrical accidents in the residential areas and other domestic marketplace. Part P  was started with the aim to tighten electrical safety in the UK. It is designed for operatives who carry out work on domestic electrical installations as a secondary task to their main role. The Part P course covers the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, plus the following modules:
    Component exchange
    Central heating water installation
    Power wiring
    Lighting circuits
This Part P electrical courses is mainly designed for trades’ people, such as plumbers, heating installers, builders or bathroom fitters, who carry out electrical work not as a primary role.
Persons registered with the Part P Domestic Installer Certificate will be qualified with the ability to thoroughly check a circuit for safety and to work as a successful electrician. They are required to issue an Electrical Installation Certificate that complies with Building Regulation requirements when the work has been completed.
